Municipalities in Kosovo are expected to cover expenses for support staff in the extraordinary elections on June 7, a move not welcomed by local leaders.
Several Kosovo municipalities are expected to dip into their own pockets to pay the support staff that will be engaged in the extraordinary elections. This obligation, which has fallen on them, is not being welcomed by the mayors, reports Klan Kosova. To oppose this practice, which, according to the Municipal Association, began to be applied in the last elections by this institution, the Central Election Commission sent a request to assume this responsibility. They have not received an answer yet, but hope a decision will be made soon. The television tried to get a response from the CEC, but up to the broadcast of this report had not received one.
