Two Albanian doctors living and working in Germany, Erlind and Vjosa Kadriu, have recounted the challenges of professional life abroad, as well as their strong desire to one day return to Kosovo and contribute to the country's health system.
Despite building their careers in Germany, they say their connection to Kosovo has never been broken and they have always wanted to help Albanian patients.
Dr. Kadriu said that over the summer she had come to Kosovo, where she treated patients voluntarily and collaborated with local colleagues.
“Whenever we can, we try to come and help. We would like to have something more regular so we can help as many people there as possible, because there is truly a high demand for assistance, but normally the opportunities are limited,” Kadriu said on the program “Diaspora” on Klan Kosova.
Dr. Vjosa also spoke about the challenges she has faced as a wife and mother in a foreign country, noting that the road to success has not been easy.
Despite having built their lives in Germany, both doctors say that returning to Kosovo remains their biggest dream. /Klankosova.tv
